I was born in Maryland where I went
to the now magnet Montgomery Blair H.S.. From there I traveled to Illinois where
I studied Material Science Engineering at Northwestern University. After working
for IBM during college I hired on with them and worked in Burlingon, VT, and Manassas,
VA. IBM sold me and my peers to Loral and then Lockheed Martin. In all those jobs
I made semiconductors, including some that have traveled to the far reaches of
the solar system. I left the military industrial complex and was moved by Storage
Tek to Colorado. I left them and worked at Lucent in software before making the
life changing decision to get into teaching. I worked part time and obtained a
Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from UCD in Denver. I was hired by the University
of Denver H.S., where I taught Physics, Astronomy, Advanced Fitness, Chemistry,
and Earth Science until May 2007. I also coached the Ultimate Frisbee teams and
Science Bowl. I'm thrilled to be able to work at Lakewood, one of the top schools
in the nation!
