Federal Reserve Challenge – Is a contest put on by the Federal Reserve. The team of 5 competing students learns about monetary policy and analyzes current economic indicators to create a skit depicting the status of the economy and a recommended change to the reserve rate. The state contest is in March.

Knowledge Bowl – Is a club where teams of 3 or 4 compete against each other in a “Jeopardy” style quiz competition. Questions range from science to grammar, and math to everyday trivia. Mock Trial - Gives students the opportunity to participate in a competitive legal drama (sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association). Lawyers and witnesses prepare or establish a case for formal competition. As this is a competitive team event, tryouts are required and held in October. No Sponsor Yet.
Model UN – Gives students the opportunity to learn about the United Nations organization of world leadership through competitive role playing. Students investigate international issues in a formal manner from an international perspective. Meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays @ 7 a.m.

Rocket Club - The Rocket Club provides students with opportunities to learn basic rocketry. This includes basic Physics principles of rocketry, computer-aided design, materials and methods for building, safety and, of course, launching of the rockets we build. All members are required to abide by the National Association of Rocketry Rules. This allows for a safe rocketry experience. Additionally, members are asked to purchase some of the materials needed to build their rockets although some help is available. Science Bowl - Science Bowl is a competition that pits your knowledge of Math and Science against other schools in a Colorado. Spirit Squad - Open to sophomore, junior, and senior male and female students, the LHS Spirit Squad is comprised of the junior varsity and varsity cheers/poms. To be eligible to try out for the squad, candidates must have a cumulative 2.5 grade point average. Team members promote school spirit and enthusiasm with their performances at athletic/school events throughout the school year. Student Peace Alliance Club - Peace Club works towards peace through nonviolence, ending poverty and increasing awareness of the problems of the world. Student Senate - Student Senate is the government of the school. It is composed of five elected representatives from each class, as well as, a student body president, vice president and treasurer. Senators are elected annually in the spring, except for the freshmen who are elected in November of their first year. The bulk of activities at Lakewood High School are planned and produced by Student Senate. The activities include Homecoming, Prom, dances, Graduation and assemblies. Thespian Troupe #1697 - The LHS Thespian Troupe is comprised of members of the LHS Theatre Company who display outstanding commitment to excellence in high school theatre. Membership requires 100 hours of work in both performance and technical aspects of theatre and Thespians comprise the governing council of the LHS Theatre Company.
