Its goals include promoting an appreciation for the law, court procedures, and the American judicial system, and the improvement of critical thinking, reading, speaking and advocacy skills, among others. | U.S. Department of Justice | Facts, figures, and information about the Dept. of Justice, as well as links to justice information especially for individuals and communities, such as civil rights protections, domestic violence prevention, and dispute resolution. Finally, its list of government websites is quite good. |

| The Taipei Times Online | The emphasis of the Taipei Times is, naturally, on the news of Taiwan. However, they also cover events in other parts of the region. Many of the reporters for this online newspaper are Chinese, so you might get a bit more of the flavor of the region. |
| Russian Newsroom | These are clippings and press digests furnished for free by the Russian clipping service WPS (which also operates a by-subscription, customizable clipping service.) There is a good selection of articles in English, with even more in Russian. |

It began with questions back and forth among several students from Ulm in Germany now studying in the U.S. They wanted a way to keep up with political doings back in the German speaking parts of Europe. This is a free, non-commercial service, operated on a voluntary basis. |
