Meet the Teachers

Science Clubs

Welcome!

We have a very active Science program here at Lakewood High School. Our department is one of the largest in the school with energetic teachers, creative lab investigation and increasing amounts of technology.  At Lakewood, we offer science classes in biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics.  We also boast of our International Baccalaureate (IB) Program.  With so much excitement, you can almost hear the Panthera Tigris roar.

See what the fuss is all about by selecting an area of science from "classes" on the menu. You can also access science links (Resources) or learn about and contact teachers.

"If you look closely enough at anything, you will see that there is nothing more exciting than the truth, the pay dirt of the scientist, discovered by his painstaking efforts."

-- Richard P. Feynman, physicist (1918 - 1988). "This Unscientific Age." In A Scientist Looks at Society.

Even if you don't plan on taking any science courses at all after high school, a grounding in science helps you understand the physical world and how things work. Don't be fooled by stories of miracle cures and mutant cockroaches! Want to know how mutation really works? what e = mc2 really means? how hysterically funny The X Files really is? Take science!
