FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES

There are times when all of us think that adult life ought to come with a manual. There are hidden assumptions everywhere: of course you know how to rent an apartment, how to feed yourself, how to create a comfortable living space. Oh yes, and you do know that everyone else is (or was!) just as much in the dark as you are, don't you?

Consumer and Family Studies classes give you basic daily life skills. They are also a chance to discover and discuss some of the assumptions you might have about living as an adult. They're fun, too, and can introduce you to career tracks you might not have considered before.
